Viborg is with one-shift connected to Europe by a railway hub in Hamburg, reached within six hours. From here you will find connections to larger European cities and within 14 hours you can reach Viborg by train from a great part of Europe – Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Prague, Paris, Berlin and Vienna.
The Danish railway system is clean, friendly, safe and efficient, and routes connecting Viborg to Copenhagen run frequently every hour.
When in Viborg, everything is within walking distance and it is easy getting around on foot, by bike or bus. If you arrive at the train station it is only a short walk before arriving at your hotel or the venue.
Getting to Viborg is easy by car. From South follow A7 in Germany turning into E45 in Denmark and after leaving the highway you will only have approx. 1 hour on main roads before reaching Viborg.
From North the picture is the same: approx. 1 hours drive on mainroad A13 will take you to Viborg after leaving the highway.
Viborg is well connected by air with four nearby airports, Midtjylland, Billund, Aarhus and Aalborg, as well as a train connection to the large international hub Copenhagen Airport.
As a special service for the EuroVelo Conference we plan to organize two different cycling trops along EuroVelo 3 to Viborg – The European Route and The Scandinavian Route.

Viborg offers a wide range of hotels and hostels– all within walking or cycling distance from the venue, allowing delegates maximum flexibility during the event. The venue – Tinghallen – has pre-reserved a large number of rooms at Hotel Peak12, the Golf Hotel and Palads Hotel for the EuroVelo Conference delegates and offers an easy booking at good prices.
